While many are in preparation for the holidays, Newly founded label Etoro Records by Isa GT has curated the first of what will be their annual Christmas series compilations. In Colombia the holidays are a time for a lot of dancing and celebrating with family and friends. With ‘Navidades Con Etoro 2011′ (christmas with Etoro 2011), Isa wanted to transpose these South American party vibes and definitely delivers. The diversity of this release is also quite impressive. Ranging from 8-bit to hip hop to cumbia to disco to dembow while featuring artists such as Dembowsky, Chief Boima, Recmade, the mysterious Captain Bubbles, Waya Waya and more, this release is a must-have for anyone looking to drop some straight up bullets on the dancefloor, whatever your taste may be. ‘Navidades Con Etoro 2011′ is out today and is available for purchase at Amazon and all other major digital stores. Pre-listen the complete release here and grab Boima’s heavy hitting bonus track for free. Also, a quick shoutout to our friend Jillionaire for bringing this to our attention.

Diogo Santos is pretty new to the szene. After starting to produce and DJ in a reggae soundsystem about 5 years ago Diago aka ZoorocK now has his focus mainly on Moombahton. „Fall On Their Knees“ is a minimal but intense Moombahton track. It’s raw style combined with Lyrics from 2Pac’s „Until the End of Time“ let’s you know what’s up: Plead for your right to breath!

Kuenta i Tambú (KiT) is a group based in the Amsterdam that is heavily influenced by the traditional afro caribbean music from Curacao. Having originally formed in 2005 as an educational project to showcase their island sounds and culture to dutch students, KiT quickly evolved and soon enough had a first release out. Now, they dive deeper into the sounds of global bass with some high energy rhythms, vocal samples, chants and the ever-present tambú drums, creating some nice dance material. ‘Kuenta i Tambú’ literally means ‘Stories and Drums’ in papiamentu, which is the native language spoken on the islands of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire. Preview the complete EP and grab a free track below. KiT EP was released yesterday and is available for purchase on iTunes.

First I thought I would do the post in German because the lyrics are Ausrtian slang, so not even sure if our German friends get the message (that was a joke) It’s so to speak an Austrian special. But since music is a global thing I’ll go a head in English.

Over the last three years we have been releasing music that style has origin from all over the world blended with European club aesthetics. Now it’s time to  drop an electro house stomper with some seriuos Austrian slang rap..from right around the corner of our studio..so you all know what’s up!!

Cedrick who came 9 years old as a refugee from Burundi via Kenia to Austria started his new life as an asylum seeker in a refugee camp in upper Austria. Now Cedrick is a 22 years old proud Afro-Austrian musician one step away to the big success in Austria.

Check his first single “I Bin Da Ösi Bua”and wether you get lyrics or not BANG your head to the “Ösi Ösi” hookline and have fun.

If you like what we do support us and buy the song on Itunes – the money goes to the Austrian aid organization “SOS Mitmensch” who fight for more rights of refugees in Austria.

Brazilian-born, London based João Brasil released yesterday this video for his upcoming single “Funk Do Iphone”, featuring the ever linda Marina Gasolina on the vocals. The single itself has a feel-good vibe to it and a hook which is highly addictive. “Funk Do Iphone” will be released by Man Recordings on the 5th of december together with remixes by DJ Sabo, Sheeqo Beat and DJ Cremoso. Check out the video above and get your baile funk on.

This banging baile funk, tropical house track called “Street Cravings” by Sweden’s Makks is our next and 3rd freetrack release on BIG ‘N’ HAIRY.
His track Happy Smugglers has been in my crate and sets for a while and so will be Street Cravings in yours, I guess.

Makks resides in the dirty south of Sweden, Malmo city, where he promotes his own clubnight, spins records and produces his own unique style of music, which can best be described as global bass with a big amount of ghetto flirt. His influences include everything from house and techno to more urban and global sounds such as hip-hop, baile funk, and dancehall. The style doesn´t matter as long as the rhythm moves your feet and the bass hammers your chest.

Check out ‘Street Cravings’ download and enjoy AND watch out, because Makks might follow up with some nice tunes on BIG ‘N’ HAIRY soon!!
